Progressives Hate Freedom

Here is an example of the “logic” of political Progressives: Susan Wright, principal at Schall Elementary in Detroit is committed “to our children and creating a safe place for them to learn…” so she destroyed one student’s cupcakes that had candy in the shape of little green army men sprinkled on top. I’m sure glad that catastrophe was averted!

Political Progressives hate freedom. Permitting people to be free might lead to behavior that the political Progressives cannot tolerate; and there is a lot they cannot tolerate. Progressives cannot tolerate all sort of choice, as in people choosing what shape candy to sprinkle on cupcakes, what size soft drink to buy, what school to send their kids to, what gas mileage their cars get, whether to buy health insurance, whether to own a gun, what kind of light bulbs to buy…. The list of freedoms Progressives hate goes on and on and on.

It is not surprising that Progressives hate freedom. Look at the political party they have chosen to be part of. Through its nearly 200 year history, the Democrat party has always had an excuse for why certain people do not deserve freedom. That’s why the Democrat party has been, at various times, The Party of Slavery, The Party of the Ku Klux Klan, The Party of Eugenics, and now the party of Chris Rock who believes Americans are children whose freedoms must be curtailed by a daddy in the form of Head Government Worker Barack Obama.

In a country where a nobody like Susan Wright can dictate that a 9-year-old boy should not be free to have candy in the shape of little green army men sprinkled on top of his cupcakes, what else can be declared off-limits? That may sound like a scary thought to freedom lovers, but to Progressives it is a lightbulb going off! Right now Progressives all over the country are dreaming up thousands of other freedoms they can deny their neighbors based on the audacity of oppression that Susan Wright has demonstrated.

If you are a business person, you should be thinking about how you can use logic like Susan Wright’s to deny consumers the freedom to choose your competitors’ products and services. It’s okay, intolerance of personal freedom is encouraged by the Progressives in America today.
