Say you’re a maverick search engine that caters to conservatives, like…I don’t know…like Duck-Duck Go (DDG). Then you decide to censor certain posts, like those from Russia. Who is the biggest loser from that decision?
Users will find the articles they want to read, but DDG’s contemp for its users makes the search engine the biggest loser.
America-last big tech companies who censor posts and search results are merely pathetic little people. They pretend their users are too stupid to discern truth, so some low-life (er…low level) employee must spoon feed the poor users.
Truly discerning users will use other products (too?) to access diverse content. But we all know what we’re doing, and even the America-last Democrats who stick with the loser tech companies know they’re being taken for idiots by the techies they so adore.
Sometime in the not-too-distant future there will be a reckoning. Markets do that, even (or especially) controlled ones.
